Benefit set for Switzerland board member Sept. 8

WOODSFIELD — A cancer benefit for Jackie Hupp, former Switzerland of Ohio Local School District board member, will be held on Sept. 8-9 at the Generations Complex. The event has been coined as Chef’s Cash, Car, Gun and Fun Bash.
Doors open at 5 p.m. on Sept. 8, and bingo games start at 6:30 p.m. The evening will feature 20 games of classic bingo and two special games. A 50/50 raffle and door prizes will also be available.
Doors will open at 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 9, and those who are entered in the car show should arrive at the event at 9 a.m. The second day of the event will feature the car show, music by D.J. Dan Bray, horse-drawn wagon rides, basket raffles, a live auction, 50/50 raffles, guessing games and food. There will be outdoor music from 8-10 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
The first 40 cars entered in the car show will receive a participant medal. Those who enter the car show have the chance to win cash, trophies and gifts.
Two-day tickets for the event will cost $50 each, and children age 15 and under can attend for free. Tickets include admission for both days, a free bingo packet, an entry in the drawing and a poker chip. The first 400 people to buy tickets will have a free chance to vote for their favorite car in the car show.
All other participants must pay $20 to vote for their favorite car.
Drawings will be held for the chance to win cash, guns, Pampered Chef appliances and other various gifts.
Participants must be 21 or older to enter to win wine baskets or handguns and 18 or older to win long guns. Guns are non-transferable.
The person whose name is on the ticket must pick up and register the gun in their name, and all gun recipients must pass a background check.
Attendees will have 30 days from the date they were notified to pick up the prize.
Children at the event must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and no drugs or alcohol will be permitted on the premises.
The Generations Complex is located at 47115 Black Walnut Parkway in Woodsfield.
